Upcoming Special Events and Promotions
Pillow Case Day – Sunday, June 22 and/or Sunday, August 17, noon – 3:30pm
We extend a big “thank you” to those of you who joined us in March for “Pillowcase Day”. In that one day, over 40 pillowcases were completed! We now are scheduling two more sessions. To date, Polly has sent more than 700 pillow cases to our troops in Iraq and is now preparing another shipment. We would like to continue this small gesture on our part to show our appreciation to the troops who serve our country. Polly will have the fabrics cut and you can bring your machine (we have two in the shop) or you can “man” one of the ironing stations! The construction is easy and we will be there to help. Please join us for an hour or two (or more!) Let us know if you can join us as our classroom is limited to a certain number of people.
12th ANNUAL FARM FEST – July 18-19
This is our annual sewing retreat you will not want to miss! You select one of five classes offered, bring your sewing machine and supplies and just plan on having fun! We provide the meals and door prizes and our instructors are the best of the best! Registration forms have been sent out but we still have some openings available. Please call our shop for more information!
POTLUCK ON THE LAWN – Thursday, August 14 – 6pm (Rain date is August 21)
This is a really fun event you will not want to miss! We gather on our front lawn for food, fun, friendship and of course our love of quilts. Bring a dish to pass, lawn chair and a quilt or two for Show & Tell. You will also receive a 15% discount on purchases made in the shop that night. Since this is held outside, we hope for cooperation in the weather department but may have to use the rain date! If you have any question as to whether or not the weather is acceptable, please phone our shop late in the afternoon. We encourage all of you who have completed a class quilt or our “Fabrication of the Truth” Mystery quilt to bring them for Show & Tell!!!
JO MORTON IS COMING TO QGS!!!
Nationally known Jo Morton will be here Monday, November 10, 2008! At this time we are not sure which class or lecture she will present but we are now taking sign-ups. When we know her agenda, we will contact you. This event will be held at Alpine Lutheran Church which is near our shop. There will be a limited number of attendees so reserve your spot today!
We Welcome Bus Tours
We are always pleased to welcome bus tours in our shop! We have had the pleasure of meeting some very delightful quilters in the past few months and look forward to many more. We do offer a discount to quilters as well as door prizes, refreshments and special promotions throughout the shop. Please call us in advance so our staff will be prepared for your arrival.
