Going Crazy?

Crazy Quilting is a new offering from Kay Stienmetz and Bernie Bird.

Wednesdays,  beginning  March 19 from 10:30AM to 12:30PM in the classroom, for six consecutive weeks.

This class will be presenting you with many possibilities  as you begin Crazy Quilting.  Kay will be stressing the options of working with cottons and silks and other exotic fabrics, design possibilities, embroidery stitches and embellishment.  Bernie will be focusing on wool as she shows you the construction of the base and the addition of embroidery with Valdini thread and wool appliqué.  The first class will be a presentation and an opportunity for you to plan your project.  For those working in wool, kits will be available that will assist you getting  started, or if you have a wool crazy kit that you have already started, but don’t know how to progress, bring it for some pointers.  For students interested in working with cottons and silks etc, you will be able to gather ideas to design your own individual project.  There is a lot of flexibility in this class and an opportunity to work with a variety of media.  Kay and Bernie are planning with student interest on working this class into an eventual “Crazy Club”  meeting monthly and sharing ideas, skills and media.

Class fee $40 for the initial 6 week session.
